Things I Wish Id Known Before We Got Married 08/17/2010 at 9:24 AMCHICAGO—The honeymoon is so over. “In love” is in remission; sex falls short; and toilets don’t clean themselves. “Surely,” say couples at this point, “this marriage isn’t God’s best for me.”
It can be, says renowned marriage counselor Dr. Gary Chapman in Things I Wish I’d Known Before We Got Married, hitting stores Sept. 1. The pre- and post-nuptial travel guide is from the author of The 5 Love Languages. Get Low is Another High for Duvall08/16/2010 at 7:13 AMIn the midst of summer, with all its high-action blockbusters, outrageous comedies, dance movies and teen flicks, it's a welcome film that brings quiet thoughtfulness to the watcher. Yes, we watch films to escape, but sometimes I want to see something that will make me think, or perhaps expose something of myself that I thought I had successfully hidden. Get Low, based on the true story of Felix Breazeale, a man from East Tennessee who gave himself a funeral before he died, is just that kind of movie. . .
FILM REVIEW: Quiet tale of forgiveness will reach wide audience 08/13/2010 at 10:58 AMGet Low tells a mostly true story that one might easily mistake for fiction: In 1938, a crowd of thousands went to a funeral for Felix “Bush” Breazeale of Roane County, Tenn.—while he was still alive and well.
GET LOW 08/13/2010 at 8:03 AMRobert Duvall looks great as a grizzled old coot, while Bill Murray makes a mighty fine funeral director. Surround them with sharp old-timey details of the Depression-era boondocks and the roles fit them even better.
GET LOW Soars High08/12/2010 at 7:33 AMThere are certain movies that are big because of their smallness, such a film is “Get Low.” This simple but affecting film is fascinating in its story but soars high with the acting involved. Robert Duvall, Bill Murray, Bill Cobbs and Lucas Black give their best performances to date in this story of an old man’s final wishes.

Makers of 'Fireproof' busy producing next movie08/03/2010 at 1:19 PMALBANY (BP) If this was a Hollywood film, they would already be advertising it as bigger and better.

The 'Low'-Down on Robert Duvall07/30/2010 at 6:30 AMEver wonder what people will say at your funeral? That's pretty much the premise of Get Low, a new film releasing this week and starring Robert Duvall as an eccentric recluse living in the hills—while all the townsfolk share wild (and mostly untrue) stories about him.
